Pamungkas ‘Yuda’ Dewanto is a junior researcher (post-doctoral research fellow) at Waseda Institute of Asia Pacific Studies as well as an adjunct faculty member at the Department of International Relations, University of Mataram in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. His research focuses on transnational networks of Indonesian migrants in Malaysia. Yuda earned his doctoral degree at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, majoring in Social Anthropology. Yuda has also been a research consultant for various organizations including the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the International Labour Organization (ILO), as well as Indonesia Ocean Justice Initiative, developing various materials that are essential for the protection of migrant workers’ rights. Yuda has also published with Bijdragen tot de Taal-, Land-, en Volkenkunde and various academic blogs.
