Brigette Anne G. Lucero is a PhD student in International Studies at the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies in Waseda University, where she is currently researching climate immobility in climate-vulnerable communities in the Philippines. She holds a master’s degree in Food Resources from Hokkaido University and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines. Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Brigette served as a research associate and a junior faculty member in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in the University of the Philippines (Los Baños). Through her academic and professional experience, she found her research interests to include the intersection of migration, climate resilience, and agriculture in Southeast Asia.
