Dr. Danau Tanu

Visiting Researcher

Danau Tanu holds an interdisciplinary PhD in anthropology and Asian studies from the University of Western Australia and is the author of Growing Up in Transit: The Politics of Belonging at an International School, the first book on structural racism in international schools. Her research interests focus on the intersections of temporary migration, youth, identity, and (international) education. Danau was previously affiliated with the Waseda Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies as a Japan Foundation scholar.
